Dear Parents/Guardians,
As an attendance incentive, our “Glow Party” themed fall celebration will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in the school gymnasium. Classes will follow a staggered schedule to visit the gym and celebrate with their peers. This celebration is for students only.
Please note: SAFETY is a priority at our school. As we approach Halloween, I want to stress the importance of following procedures to ensure student safety on that day. To accomplish this objective, we request your assistance and cooperation on some important details.
● Please choose a costume that does not reflect violence. Inappropriate “props” such as blood, plastic swords, guns, knives, and weapons of any kind are not allowed – even if they are a part of your child’s costume. Please save them for supervised activities at home.
● No masks are to be worn in school or during the activities.
● Students should not wear their costumes to school. Please backpack them.
● Please send students to school with costumes that they can independently
change into themselves.
● If students do not have a costume they can celebrate by wearing autumn
colors (brown, yellow, red, etc.)
● No candy will be consumed during the school day on Halloween. All candy
baggies will be sent home to be eaten under parent supervision.
In-class Halloween activities are completely optional. Please, inform the classroom
teacher if you would not like your child to participate in the celebration.
We kindly ask you to discuss the guidelines with your child/children. Our expectation is to make this a wonderful experience for all of our students to remember!
